I'm Aaron. I've made my living from music since 2006, and Weybridge is one of the areas I play most. The weddings mostly run the same way. A song while you walk in, something quiet under the register signing, then I shift over to wherever the drinks are happening and play for an hour and a half or so while everyone loosens up. More often than not the couple keeps me on for the evening as well.
No backing tracks. No laptop doing half the work. Just a guitar and me singing. I've done enough of these to know when a room wants picking up and when it's happier left alone.

Oatlands Park Hotel
I've played a good few weddings here. It's the big old hotel up by the lake, and the main rooms take an acoustic set nicely.
Painshill Park
Technically Cobham, but it's a stone's throw. You cross the Chinese bridge on the way in, and it sits perfectly against that quintessentially British backdrop.
I also cover Weybridge's other wedding venues — Beaverbrook and more. After hundreds of weddings around here, a venue I've not yet played is no obstacle, and there's no travel charge inside the county.

The ceremony
A song as you walk in, something under the register signing, and a song on the way back out. All learned for you beforehand.
Drinks reception
An hour and a half or so while everyone gets a drink and settles in. Quiet under the chat, a bit more when it lifts.
The evening
An optional set later on, before any DJ or disco. The kind of songs people end up singing along to.

How much does a wedding singer cost in Weybridge?
It depends how much of the day you want covered. Some couples just want me for the ceremony, others want the whole thing through to the evening. Tell me roughly how your day runs and I'll send back a straight price. There's no extra travel charge anywhere in Surrey.
Have you actually played at Oatlands Park or Painshill?
Yes, I've played weddings at both, plus plenty of other places around Weybridge and Elmbridge. I cover the area's other venues too, Beaverbrook included. If your venue isn't one I've done before, that's no problem. I'll talk you through how I'd approach it.
Can you learn our first dance and a ceremony song?
Yes. I learn up to three songs especially for your day. Usually that's the first dance, a song for the ceremony, and sometimes one for a parent dance.
Do you bring your own PA and are you insured?
Yes to both. I bring my own PA, and I've got public liability insurance, which is the cover most venues want to see. I turn up, set up, and keep out of the way.
