I'm Aaron. I've been gigging for a living since 2006, and Guildford's an easy one for me — I'm just down the road in Dorking, so there's no real travel to speak of. Weddings here tend to run the usual shape: a song down the aisle, something under the register signing, then a set at the drinks reception while everyone finds the bar. A lot of couples have me back for the evening as well.
It's a guitar and a voice, nothing pretending to be a band. After this many weddings I can usually tell which way a room wants to go before it does.

I've played weddings at the Manor — a smart country-house hotel just outside town, and the rooms suit a single acoustic act well.
Loseley Park
The historic estate on the edge of Guildford. A grand old place, and always a treat to play.
The Mandolay
Central Guildford, handy for a town-centre wedding or a drinks reception.
Your venue not on here? Doesn't matter. I play all over Surrey, and there's no travel charge inside the county.

The ceremony
A song as you walk in, something under the register signing, and a song on the way back out. All learned for you beforehand.
Drinks reception
An hour and a half or so while everyone gets a drink and settles in. Quiet under the chat, a bit more when it lifts.
The evening
An optional set later on, before any DJ or disco. The kind of songs people end up singing along to.

How much does a wedding singer cost in Guildford?
It depends how much of the day you'd like covered. Some couples book me just for the ceremony, others for the full day through to an evening set. Give me a rough idea of how the day runs and I'll come back with a straight price. No extra travel charge inside Surrey.
Have you played at Guildford Manor, Loseley Park or the Mandolay?
Yes, I've played weddings at all three, along with venues right across Guildford and the Surrey Hills. If your venue isn't one I've done, that's no problem. I'll talk you through how I'd approach it.
Can you learn our first dance and a ceremony song?
Yes. I learn up to three songs especially for your day. Usually that's the first dance, a song for the ceremony, and sometimes one for a parent dance.
Do you bring your own PA and are you insured?
Yes to both. My own PA, and public liability insurance that covers what venues ask for. I get there early, set up, and keep out of the way.
