Solo acoustic · gigging for a living since 2006 · full PA · fully insured

I'm Aaron. I've made my living from music since 2006, and Surrey is my patch. I'm based in Dorking and I play weddings right across the county, from Esher and Weybridge over to Guildford and down through the Surrey Hills.

If you've pictured an acoustic feel for your day, the sort of singer-with-a-guitar sound you'd put somewhere near Ed Sheeran, James Bay or Paolo Nutini, that's the thing I do. A guitar and a voice, no backing tracks pretending to be a band. A song as you walk down the aisle, something quiet under the register signing, then a set at the drinks reception while everyone settles in. Most couples keep me on for the evening as well.

It's just me. One person to sort out beforehand, one sound running through the whole day, and after this many weddings I can usually feel which way a room wants to go before it does.

Surrey wedding venues I've played

A real list, not a wishlist. Every one of these is a Surrey venue I've actually played a wedding at.

Your venue not on here? Doesn't matter. I play all over Surrey, and there's no travel charge inside the county.

What I'll play on the day

The ceremony

A song as you walk in, something under the register signing, and a song on the way back out. All learned for you beforehand.

Drinks reception

An hour and a half or so while everyone gets a drink and settles in. Quiet under the chat, a bit more when it lifts.

The evening

An optional set later on, before any DJ or disco. The kind of songs people end up singing along to.

Surrey wedding questions

What parts of Surrey do you cover?

All of it, near enough. I'm in Dorking, so Esher, Weybridge, Cobham, Guildford, Woking, Epsom and the Surrey Hills are all close to home, and I play right across the rest of the county too. There's no travel charge anywhere in Surrey.

Is it just you, or a band?

Just me. One person, one guitar, one voice. That means one person to deal with in the run-up, and one sound that carries through the whole day — ceremony, drinks and evening.

Can you do that acoustic, Ed Sheeran or James Bay kind of sound?

That's the whole thing, really. A guitar and a voice doing acoustic versions of songs people know. If that's the feel you're after for the ceremony and the drinks, it's exactly what I do, and I'll learn your particular songs on top.

How much does a wedding singer cost in Surrey?

It depends how much of the day you want covered, just the ceremony or the full run through to an evening set. Tell me roughly how your day looks and I'll send back a straight price. No extra travel charge inside Surrey.

Do you learn our songs, bring your own PA, and have insurance?

Yes to all three. Up to three songs learned especially for your day, my own PA that I set up and then keep out of the way, and public liability insurance, which is the cover most venues want to see.
