I'm Aaron, and I've made my living from music since 2006. Epsom is well-trodden ground for me — I play around the town all the time — so a wedding here is about as local as it gets. The day usually runs the same shape: a song as you walk in, something quiet under the register signing, then a set at the drinks reception while everyone finds the bar and settles. Most couples keep me on for the evening too.
It's a guitar and a voice, no backing tracks doing the heavy lifting. After this many weddings I can usually read a room and know when to lift it and when to leave it be.

Epsom Downs Racecourse
I've played a wedding up at the racecourse. The rooms look out over the Downs and they take an acoustic set nicely — big spaces, so I bring enough PA to fill them without it ever getting loud.
Your venue not on here? Doesn't matter. I play all over Surrey, and there's no travel charge inside the county.

The ceremony
A song as you walk in, something under the register signing, and a song on the way back out. All learned for you beforehand.
Drinks reception
An hour and a half or so while everyone gets a drink and settles in. Quiet under the chat, a bit more when it lifts.
The evening
An optional set later on, before any DJ or disco. The kind of songs people end up singing along to.

How much does a wedding singer cost in Epsom?
It depends how much of the day you want covered. Some couples book me just for the ceremony, others for the whole day through to an evening set. Tell me roughly how the day runs and I'll send back a straight price. No extra travel charge anywhere in Surrey.
Have you played at Epsom Downs Racecourse?
Yes, I've played a wedding there, and I gig around Epsom regularly on top. If your venue isn't one I've done before, that's no problem. I'll talk you through how I'd approach it.
Can you learn our first dance and a ceremony song?
Yes. I learn up to three songs especially for your day. Usually that's the first dance, a song for the ceremony, and sometimes one for a parent dance.
Do you bring your own PA and are you insured?
Yes to both. My own PA, and public liability insurance that covers what venues ask for. I turn up, set up, and keep out of the way.
