I'm Aaron, a singer and guitarist based in Dorking, and I play corporate events across Surrey, London and the South East — drinks receptions, awards nights, summer parties and Christmas dos.
I've played the Chessington hotel for Merlin and done events for DiGiCo, so I know how a company night needs to run: turn up early, set up cleanly, look the part, and read the room rather than blast it.
Solo, but with a full band sound when it's wanted — acoustic and electric with backing tracks behind it. Live and tasteful while people network and the speeches happen, then I put the guitar down and DJ so the floor fills later. One supplier, one invoice, the whole night handled.
What it costs
Booked separately, a function band is £1,200–£1,880 for the night and an evening DJ another £300–£755 on top — £1,500 and up for live music and a dancefloor.
£700
for a Friday, Saturday or Sunday — £500 Monday to Thursday
The whole night, 7.30pm till midnight — live sets and the DJ, one act. £250 holds your date, the balance on the night.
How a company night runs
Reception & networking
Tasteful live acoustic while people arrive, drink and talk — sets the tone, never fights the conversation.
After the speeches
Once the formal bit's done, the sound comes up — acoustic and electric, the songs that get a room of colleagues going.
DJ to finish
Guitar down, decks on, the floor filled till the end. Requests welcome, read the room, no dead air.

Questions people ask
How much is live music for a corporate event?
£700 for a Friday, Saturday or Sunday and £500 for a weeknight — the evening's live sets plus me DJing the rest, with my own PA and lighting. £250 to confirm and the balance on the night. That's well under a function band (£1,200–£1,880) plus a separate DJ (£300–£755), and it's one act and one invoice rather than two suppliers to manage.
Do you have public liability insurance and PAT-tested equipment?
Yes — public liability cover and PAT-tested gear, which is what most venues and company event organisers ask to see. I can send the paperwork over when you book.
Can you do background music during the reception and then a party later?
That's exactly the format. Tasteful live music while people network and through any speeches, then the sound comes up and I DJ to fill the floor. One act covering the whole night.
Do you travel into London and across the South East?
Yes. I'm in Surrey and regularly play London and the South East — Berkshire, Sussex, Hampshire. Tell me where and when and I'll confirm.
